Reviews plans for exterior alterations, new construction, and demolition within the Soulard Historic District. Works with residents, property owners, and developers to ensure compliance with historic standards.
Manages the Soulard Renaissance Newspaper (quarterly), The Blaster monthly email newsletter, social media (Facebook and Instagram), and the soulard.org website.
Organizes neighborhood events including parades, outdoor movie showings, block parties, and recreational sporting events.
Secures funds through grant writing and merchandise sales. Runs the Soulard Summer Concert Series and other annual fundraising events supporting SRG programs and initiatives.
Preserves and shares neighborhood heritage. Offers house history research service for members, maintains historical markers, and provides content for neighborhood tours.
Recruits members, publishes the annual Membership Roster, hosts the annual May Membership Drive and Party, and delivers welcome gift bags to new homeowners in Soulard.
Plans and coordinates the annual Soulard Holiday Parlour Tour, held the first weekend in December. One of Soulard's most beloved traditions for over 50 years.
Maintains SRG-owned property, specifically Soulard Station — a former Route 66 service station now used for meetings and community functions.
Promotes a safe environment through neighborhood watch programs, educational workshops, safety awareness campaigns, and a security camera database.
