Soulard runs on neighbors who show up. There are two easy ways to pitch in — pick whichever fits the time you have.
How do you want to pitch in?
Take on something ongoing with a committee, or just grab a shift at one of our events. Both make a real difference.
Help run the neighborhood
Join a committee and give a few hours a month to the work that keeps Soulard thriving all year — gardens and gateways, safety walks, our newspaper and newsletter, house-history research, and the events calendar itself.
- Beautification — gardens, planters, and public spaces
- Safety — neighborhood watch and awareness
- Communications — the newspaper, The Blaster, and this website
- Historical — house-history research and markers
- Community Involvement & Events — parades, concerts, and block parties
Help at an event
Grab a single shift and you're done — pour a beer at Oktoberfest, check wristbands on the Patio Tour, greet guests at the Parlour Tour. No membership required; just a few hours and a good attitude.
Event shifts are paused for the moment while we sort out where each sign-up should land. Email brenton@soulard.org and we'll connect you with the chair running the event you have in mind.
